CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The man shot and killed at a Circle K gas station off of I-37 on Thanksgiving Day has been identified as 47-year-old Esteban Ramirez III, according to Nueces County Medical Examiners Office officials.
On Thursday, CCPD officers were dispatched to the Circle K gas station for a shooting that took place around 2:56 p.m.
When they arrived, they located Ramirez in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The suspected shooter, 33-year-old Julian Rodriguez, left the scene before police arrived, but was found and arrested by 9:30 that evening.
CCPD said that Rodriguez and Ramirez knew each other.
