CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The sewer construction work at the intersection of Flour Bluff Drive and Peaceful Lane has been extended to Jan. 2 due to needing an emergency replacement.
The construction project of sanitary sewer installations for a private development started Monday and was originally expect to only last one week.
The City of Corpus Christi said in a press release that the contractor found problems with the structure of the sanitary sewer manhole, so it will need an emergency replacement.
Detours remain in place to redirect traffic around the intersection.
Traffic traveling northbound on Flour Bluff Drive to S.P.I.D is detoured at Glenoak Drive over to Waldron Road.
Southbound traffic is detoured at Purdue Road over to Waldron Road.
