CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Correction: This story has been updated to show that Ricardo Fuentes was shot by police.
A fatal shooting Thursday marks at least the fouth CCISD student killed in the last year.
Ray High School student Andrew Lee Garza was shot and killed at a home on Monitor Street.
A 16-year-old boy -- who is not being identified because he is a minor -- has been charged in the 15-year-old’s death.
And in October 2023, 17-year-old Ricardo Jose Fuentes reportedly was shot by police after a birthday party got out of hand on Masterson Drive.
And in June 2023, 15-year-old Eriya Ruiz was found outside of her house on Pennine Way with severe trauma. She later died from those injuries.
