CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A driver has received a citation for failing to stay in one lane, causing a significant traffic accident at the bottom of the JFK Causeway bridge Sunday, according to Corpus Christi Police Department officials.
CCPD told 3NEWS that the driver of a truck failed to stay in one lane and veered into the left lane, hitting another truck.
First responders were called out to help rescue people trapped in their vehicles that had flipped upside down. In a video shared with 3NEWS, many drivers can be seen out of their cars trying to help the crash victims out safely as well.
