CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One person was taken to an area hospital on Saturday afternoon after a three-vehicle accident took place on Park Road 22 & Jackfish Avenue.
The Corpus Christi Fire Department and Nueces County ESD 2 were called out to the scene at around 4 p.m.
ESD 2 Fire Chief Weston Beseda said that although no one was necessarily “trapped” in the vehicles, the complexity of how the trucks were sitting after the accident, necessitated assistance from fire department personnel.
It appears that two trucks and a minivan collided, with one blue Ram coming to a rest in between and on top of the two other vehicles.
There is no word on what caused the accident or how serious the person's injuries were.
Traffic was impacted for some time, but the scene was cleared by around 5 p.m. Chief Besada said that for incidents like this, roads can clear within about 30 minutes, as crews work to remove vehicles from the road.
