Plea deadline extended for new evidence in Amanda Talbert case

Talbert's attorney and the state say that new information relating to the case is still being reviewed.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Amanda Talbert was back in front of Judge Missy Medary on Thursday for a plea deadline that ended with an extension.

Her attorney, Mark Gonzalez, says new victims and information have come forward during discovery in this case, but that he hasn't had a chance to look at all of this new information.

The state also said that they are still reviewing the information as well.

Talbert has been arrested twice now on human trafficking charges.

She is accused of taking advantage of young girls and grooming them for prostitution.

Talbert's probation officer asked the judge about her bond conditions in reference to her being able to pick her kids from school.

Medary said Talbert will be able to pick up her kids, as well as take them to after school activities.

Some of Talbert's victims have been high school students.
