CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Friday the City of Portland reported a West Nile-positive mosquito was trapped on Houston Street near La Iguana restaurant.
Crews will be out spraying Friday night and will continue to monitor the mosquito pools.
This comes as Agua Dulce reported their fourth positive confirmation of the virus Thursday.
The positive result serves as a reminder to take measure to prevent contact with mosquitoes like wearing long sleeves and pants when outside during sunrise and sunset and using mosquito repellant that contains DEET.
