CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Scuttlebutt's Seafood Bar & Grill announced its official closure Monday, more than a year after a fire grease fire led the beloved restaurant to close its doors in March of 2023.
The restaurant said in the announcement that they were sorry to say goodbye and thanked customers for all their years of support. The post has garnered thousands of reactions on social media from former patrons who said they were sad to learn that Scuttlebutt's would not reopen their doors after the fire.
Many supporters praised the restaurant for being the place they enjoyed eating, drinking and even meeting their future spouses at.
