CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — And as the year comes to a close, the city has some major plans in the works including a $400,000 dollar Sherwood dog park, which is set to open in January.
The city is working to keep up with the rising demand for more dog parks in the city.
Corpus Christi Parks and Rec sent 3News a statement regarding the park's progress. The department said "the construction of the Sherwood Dog Park is nearing completion. The dog park is scheduled for completion in mid-January, weather permitting. We are excited to offer this new amenity for residents and their pets."
