CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you are searching for a light display to check out, we might have an idea for you.
Over on Austin Street near Alameda and Rossiter Street, you will find the Garcia Holiday Light Show.
Gabriel Garcia told us it started 10 years ago with just a few strings of lights and has now grown to over a whopping 100,000 lights--all synced to music.
3News caught up with the Garcia family to take a look at their wonderland of Christmas lights.
Gabriel Garcia said the light show is the family's way of giving back.
"The reason we do it, is not for us personal gain, this is for the community, something free for everyone to come out here and make memories for free."
"Drive up tune your radio to 100.7 FM and enjoy the show," said Garcia.
The beloved local tradition has continued to grow as time has gone on.
"Every year we add more new things unique things, people things, people haven't really seen."
Gabriel said he's happy he has the ability to keep bringing the light show to the Coastal Bend.
"When I was younger, we didn't have a lot. Having what I have now, it's big and I'm very proud to do this."
The holiday tradition even boasts some tasty treat, on the house.
"We have free popcorn here, candy canes, come on out and enjoy the show," said Garcia.
