CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Steady rain and high winds are expected to move into the Coastal Bend and Corpus Christi on Wednesday, prompting the city of Corpus Christi to make some adjustments to its daily operating procedures.
Early changes include the parks and recreation department removing all lifeguard stands, portable restrooms, and trash cans from Gulf-facing beaches.
A Coastal Flood Watch is in effect until Thursday.
City pools, splash pads, and senior centers also will be closed Wednesday, and home-delivered meals program clients will receive regular meals on Tuesday, and shelf-stable meals for Wednesday and Thursday.
The 311 Customer Call Center will remain open for non-emergency calls from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
