CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A sandbag distribution is scheduled for Tuesday, ahead of Wednesday's expected heavy rains and flooding.
The event is being sponsored by Nueces County Drainage District No. 2, and will be held at 603 E. Ave. A in Robstown from 8-11 a.m. and 4-7 p.m. Tuesday.
It is open to residents who live within the drainage district's jurisdiction.
It will be a drive-through event, and officials are asking those who want sandbags to enter on Seventh Street, which is on the east side of the building.
3NEWS has reached out to the city of Corpus Christi as to whether it has plans to hold a similar event, and will update this story with a response.
