CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A fire broke out at a home late Wednesday night in Corpus Christi on the 7000 block of Hathor Dr., near Nile Dr. and McArdle Dr. Three people were at the home when the fire began just before 11 p.m in the home's garage.
Corpus Christi Fire officials tell 3NEWS they arrived within minutes, and the fire was put out within 20 minutes of arriving.
Corpus Christi Battalion Chief Daniel Valdez said one person went back into the home while attempting to retrieve a family member, something he advises against, due to the inherent dangers involved.
The fire was believed to only be located in the garage.
No one was injured.
One person was arrested at the scene, but it's unclear if that arrest was related to the fire.
